Job Profile Summary
The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates imaging equipment and software proficiently, mostly nuclear medicine imaging equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include serving as a lead, when direct leadership is unavailable, serving as a resource, and assisting in training. The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certification/Registration: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support BLS;
AND
1 advanced registry from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Positron Emission Technology Certification (PET)
Nuclear Cardiology Technologist Certification (NCT)
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (CT)
Radiation Safety Certification (RS)
