As the Head of Retail Media, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our retail media proposition, driving growth, and delivering exceptional results.


What you’ll be doing

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategic development, operational integration and commercial delivery of the Boots Media Group retail media proposition. You will lead the charge in driving growth and maturity of retail media shaping compelling advertiser solutions and embedding retail media into our core business operations.


Your expertise will ensure best-in-class execution through strong agency partnerships and robust reporting frameworks.


Key responsibilities
Proposition Development & Commercial Growth:
  • Define and evolve the retail media proposition across various channels.
  • Develop commercial packages aligned with advertiser objectives.
  • Identify new revenue streams and innovation opportunities.
  • Lead pricing strategy and ensure alignment between trading priorities and media opportunities.
Operational Integration & Delivery:
  • Embed retail media capabilities into core planning, trading, marketing, ecommerce, and store operations.
  • Establish processes and oversee campaign delivery ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Partner cross-functionally to optimize ad tech and measurement infrastructure.
Agency Management:
  • Manage the strategic relationship setting clear objectives, driving accountability and continuous improvement
  • Lead joint business planning and performance reviews.
Reporting, Measurement & Insight:
  • Establish reporting frameworks for revenue and campaign performance.
  • Translate data into actionable insights for growth.
Internal Stakeholder Leadership:
  • Build cross-functional relationships across the organisation.
  • Advocate for retail media integration with senior leadership.
  • Align retail media objectives with broader business strategy.

What you’ll need to have:
  • Significant experience in retail media network development.
  • Proven track record in proposition development and commercialisation.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, ecommerce, and performance marketing.
  • Experience managing agency partnerships with commercial accountability.
  • Ability to integrate media operations within complex retail environments.
  • Strong financial acumen and reporting expertise.

It would be great if you also have
  • Experience in health & beauty, pharmacy, FMCG, or omnichannel retail.
  • Familiarity with ad tech platforms and retail data ecosystems.
  • Experience working with major media agencies and brand advertisers.
