A retail transformation journey

There has never been a more exciting time to join the Transformation team at Boots. We are embarking on a complete overhaul of our Electronic Point of Sale (Epos) platform and taking a leap forward into our company's future. This is a transformative project to replace and upgrade our current Epos system, unlock future business capabilities whilst enhancing the colleague and customer journey.

Key responsibilities

You will be critical to ensuring the Epos Replacement Programme lands for both the Boots business and our customers. It will support the governance and delivery of the whole programme, ensuring consistency of Reporting, Risk and Issue tracking, Dependency Management and Change Control. We are looking for working across the Retail Operations, IT and Transformation teams.

You will report to the Senior Programme Manager within the Epos Replacement programme. There are no direct reports but work with many people across the programme and organisation.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

· Experience supporting complex change programmes including changes to process, organisational design, technology, systems and data.

· A love for planning and the ability to keep two or three steps ahead with sequencing ability

· Confident in supporting Executive level reporting and risk, issue and dependency management.

· Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, and challenging stakeholders

· Work well with others and experienced in working cross-functionality with a diverse range of people – including holding others to account when needed

· Confident user of Microsoft Project, Powerpoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint and Excel

· Great ability to write executive summaries and distil complex information into an easy to understand.

It would be great if you also have

· Have completed (or working towards) MSP practitioner or similar (e.g. APM practitioner)

· Knowledge of APMG International Change Management, Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies is beneficial

· Experience of large-scale change programmes or implementation of new ways of working and processes is highly desirable

· Experience of Epos is desirable, but not essential
