We are looking for Space Systems Engineers who want to solve interesting, complex problems, which protect our nation. Your talents and passion are most important to us. If you don’t know satellite systems or are new to the space industry, we will teach you! We are recruiting for junior, mid-level, and senior engineers with a background in Space engineering or space systems.

 

These positions will be located in our Dulles, VA offices.

 

The Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Division is a strategic partner specializing in commercial and classified partnerships with the design, delivery, operation and sustainment of satellites and human spacecraft. Our programs include technical roles at the mission, segment, subsystem, and component levels. Our work also spans the entire program life cycle from early concept studies, design development, system integration/test, launch and early ops, mission ops/sustainment, and system disposal. Recognized as an industry leader, we also develop highly specialized space and satellite components.   • Space/Satellite Systems

  • Chief Systems Engineering

  • Requirements Engineering

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering

  • Mission Systems Architecture/Mission Engineering

  • Modeling and Simulation for On-Orbit Operations

  • Ground Systems Engineering

  • Satellite-Ground Communication Systems

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with current or active Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain SCI level access

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM Science Technology Engineering Math with 9 years experience or Master's Degree and 7 years experience

  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles such as, requirements, systems analysis and systems thinking, interface management, system integration, project management, risk analysis, high level systems testing, cost estimation, and/or customer interface

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current or Active Top Secret/SCI level clearance

  • Experience supporting Space Satellite Systems

  • Experience in any of the following areas is highly preferred but not required

    • Chief Engineering Expertise

    • Requirements and Verification

      • DOORS

      • Cameo

      • RVTM or RTVM

      • Managing requirements

    • Modeling and Simulation

      • Matlab, Python, STK, Freeflyer or similar technologies

      • Analysis of alternatives

      • Architecture

      • Mathematics

    • Electrical Systems

      • Design and development of avionics components

      • Power

      • Electrical engineering

      • Electrical systems testing
