JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Associate within the Early Stage Sales team, you will be a key individual contributor in a high-velocity inbound sales motion serving early stage private companies from pre-seed through Series A/B. Your primary focus is converting inbound leads into paying customers, upgrading early-stage companies onto paid plans, and identifying opportunities to refer clients into broader JPMorganChase products and services.

You will operate within a fast-paced, process-driven environment built around a single 30-minute intro and demo model, with tight SLAs governing first response, scheduling, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Conversion & Revenue Generation

Own the end-to-end conversion of inbound leads — from initial outreach through demo delivery to close — for pre-seed through Series A/B companies. Drive upgrades from early stage plans by identifying the right moment and value proposition to move companies onto paid tiers as they grow. Identify and action referral opportunities into the wider JPMorganChase ecosystem, partnering with internal teams to ensure warm, well-qualified handoffs. Deliver a consistent, high-quality 30-minute intro and demo experience, tailored to the prospect's stage and needs.

Pipeline & Process Execution

Manage your own pipeline with rigor: maintaining accurate records, timely follow-up, and adherence to SLAs for first response, demo scheduling, and post-demo outreach. Ensure complete and structured discovery notes are captured and handed off cleanly post-conversion. Contribute to funnel performance by tracking your own conversion metrics and flagging patterns or blockers to the team lead.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

Build rapport quickly with founders, finance leads, and operations contacts at early stage companies, acting as a trusted advisor on equity management. Represent JPMorganChase professionally across all touchpoints, reinforcing the brand's credibility in the venture and start-up ecosystem.

Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Ensure prospects are a strong fit before conversion —conducting thorough discovery to set companies up for a successful onboarding and long-term relationship with the platform. Partner with Business Development to understand lead sources and quality, and provide feedback that improves routing and conversion alignment. Support ad hoc tasks and coverage as business needs arise, demonstrating flexibility and a team-first mindset.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities

  • Experience in a sales, account management, or customer success role, ideally within financial services, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and meet or exceed conversion and revenue targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to build trust quickly and communicate value clearly to a range of audiences, including founders and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, process-driven environment with measurable SLAs and performance expectations.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously without dropping the ball.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the flexibility to support wider team needs when required.
  • Analytical mindset — able to interpret basic funnel and usage data to prioritise effort and improve outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with equity compensation or cap table management.
  • Experience in or exposure to the venture ecosystem — whether through working with start-ups, VCs, accelerators, or early stage founders — is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and a structured approach to pipeline management.
  • Exposure to cloud-based software platforms or tech-touch customer engagement models.
  • Prior experience in an SMB or early stage segment, where speed and volume are key to success.
