A role you will love
As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of a broad suite of Business, Financial and Operational applications across all of Computershare’s global sites.
Some of your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
• Handle complex, time sensitive issues.
• Perform deep investigation using logs and Oracle SQL packages to identify root causes.
• Participate in projects and represent the support team across the customer base.
• Work closely with senior analysts, supporting the wider team.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to identify bugs and suggest improvements.
• Engage in global support activities, occasionally including weekend project work or disaster recovery events (TOIL provided).
There is an on-call requirement within this role.
What will you bring to the role
As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the triaging resolving of software support issues, often coordinating the involvement of multiple technology teams, including infrastructure and development services.
You will work closely with the Service Management and Development teams, utilising the core ITIL principles in Change, Release, Incident and Problem management as well as supporting the successful delivery of new services/applications into the production environment
Other key skills required for the role:
• Strong Oracle SQL skills, especially the ability to debug SQL packages.
• Linux knowledge (desirable).
• Ticket management and prioritisation skills - essential due to high ticket volume and urgency.
• Understanding of code deployment and release processes.
• Familiarity with continual service improvement and ITIL principles.
