We are seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and evolution of JPMorgan Chase’s enterprise-wide data and AI platforms, enabling a firmwide Data Mesh, GenAI, and governance ecosystem. In this role you’ll collaborate with product owners, engineers, business stakeholders, and strategic vendors to define and implement strategic architecture using modern cloud-native technologies (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst, Trino) and best-in-class software engineering practices. You will drive end-to-end data lifecycle solutions—spanning ingestion, management, governance, and consumption—to accelerate BI and AI/ML initiatives, ensure operational resilience, and meet regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in Python or Java, deep experience with public cloud and analytics services, and a proven track record of influencing change at the executive level.

You will be working in a high performing team of product owners and software engineers building a variety of cutting edge, cloud native, business-critical projects. You will influence and steer the efforts of cross-functional and cross line of business project teams that focus on Big Data, Data Science and Data Analytics experience. In addition, you will work with strategic vendors and emerging technology to make sure our long-term requirements are met.
Our TeamThe Data Management group is part of the Chief Analytics and Data Office at JPMorgan Chase. It operates firmwide, liaising with every line of business to deliver innovative data management products, services and value add solutions. Our vision is to continuously evolve using best-in-class tools and technologies in managing vast amounts of data to enable AI/ML initiatives throughout the firm and enhance our ability to provide market leading capabilities. Our team delivers comprehensive data management solutions for making JPMC’s data discoverable, understandable, observable, trustworthy, accessible, and interoperable for authorized personas to drive BI and AI/ML initiatives with agility and velocity. It includes center of excellences for multiple product domains, such as Data Lake Services, Data Migrations Services, Unified Data Catalog and Controls, Entitlements Services and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence services, to drive digital transformation, cloud adoption and AI/ML capabilities throughout the firm.
