This is an outstanding opportunity for a short-term RA, with a background in bench skills and computational/coding skill for the integration and interpretation of single‑cell transcriptomics. The RA will work within the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences group under the supervision of Holly Shiels and Adam Stevens. The post holder will be part of both the Shiels and Stevens lab group, based at the Core Technology Facility and St Mary’s Hospital.

The candidate will support the aims of a 3-yr project grant funded by the British Heart Foundation. This innovative project will study the integration and interpretation of single cell and cytokine datasets within a cardiac remodelling and immune biology framework.

This position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to work as part of a sociable multi-disciplinary team consisting of ~15 postgrads and PDRA. The ideal candidate will have excellent bench and data sciences skills and will be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience of cell-based methodologies, RNA/DNA extraction, imaging-based assays, high performance computing, coding in python/R are essential for the position.
