We are looking for a great communicator, who has a high level of experience of working in the fields of water quality, water resources, regulation and / or permitting to deliver improvements for water. You will have a track record of working within or alongside operational teams, and should be well versed on policy, water legislation and technical aspects of operational water work.
You will report to the Head of Service for Water, and in this role you will provide direct support to colleagues from across Operational teams to enable them to deliver the best outcomes for water in their places. You will also have direct influence over policy decisions, and will represent your operational colleagues in discussions with central policy teams on emerging issues, prioritisation of work and service planning. Influencing, communication, and being a team player are vital for this role, as is the ability to work alone making confident decisions on policy and priorities for Operations teams across Wales.
The role is offered for a period of 6 months initially, to the end of September 2026. Location is flexible, and hybrid working is possible - you will be expected to attend the NRW office closest to your home location periodically, and to travel within Wales as required.
