What you'll do
We’ll look to you to support and enhance Balance Sheet & Risk Management. You’ll drive the design and development of data management strategies that are crucial for allocation, origination, distribution, and risk management tooling as well as other change and transformation initiatives within the Commercial and Institutional (C&I) space.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Leading the sourcing and integration of data across Balance Sheet & Risk Management tools such as PARA, collaborating with various functions including Commercial & Institutional (C&I) to ensure seamless data flow
- Developing and driving business logic to define data, ensuring consistency across Balance Sheet & Risk Management, C&I, and other functions
- Establishing robust data validation mechanisms to uphold the integrity and reliability of data, working closely with the business and Data & Analytics teams to address data quality issues effectively
- Ensuring that data definitions are meticulously documented, facilitating understanding and consistency across the organisation
- Collaborating with teams on financial and economic modelling calculations, providing data expertise to enhance precision and reliability
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience working with data across many aspects of banking, along with excellent attention to detail. You'll have a strong understanding of C&I balance sheet management priorities. Ideally, you'll also have industry experience in a regulatory and commercial environment.
In addition to this, we’re looking for:
- A profound understanding of commercial banking operations and priorities
- The ability to write and understand code, leveraging it to solve data-related challenges
- The ability to lead projects, with a track record of working effectively across multiple departments
