HGV Class 1 Nights

HGV Class 1 Night Driver Heathrow.

We currently have exciting, opportunities for HGV Class 1 Night Drivers (or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growing Heathrow depot.

Night shifts typically start at 20:00-08:00 working 4 x 12hr shifts

You will be able to work with an amazing team who will coordinate their duties on imports or exports depending on volume demands. main duties include collection/deliver goods from/to airports and/or gateways.

You will be accountable for:

Operating articulated vehicles, 36T, experience minimum 6 months

Experience with roller bed trailers

Driving long or short distances

Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport /operations team

Supervising or helping to load and unload goods

Making sure loads are safely secured

Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary

Completing delivery paperwork

Keeping up-to-date logbooks

Carrying out basic routine maintenance

Airports/Gateways collections / deliveries

Be thorough and pay attention to detail

Able to accept criticism and work well under pressure

Communication skills

Physical Fitness: Stay fit and active for the demands of the job.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

You’ll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements, driver's CPC and digital tachograph. All drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment.
