We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Delivery Management.
In this role, you will:
- Program Definition and Planning: Define program objectives, scope, and strategy. Develop a comprehensive program plan. Project Oversight: Manage and coordinate multiple IT projects within the program. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Estimations: Familiarity with estimation methodologies like planning poker, T-shirt sizing etc. Agile Project Execution: Lead project execution using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
- Agile Coach: Educate teams and individuals to adopt agile practices and methods while embedding agile values and agile mindsets as culture in organization. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including budget, personnel, and technology, across different projects. Stakeholder Management: Engage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including senior management, project managers, and team members. Build relationships, manage expectations, and communicate effectively. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Sound understanding of IT Risk Management.
- Performance Monitoring: Track program progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery. Change Management: Manage changes to the program scope, schedule, or budget. Ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Communication and Reporting: Keep stakeholders informed of program status, progress, and risks through regular reports and presentations. Incident Management: Conduct PIR meetings to understand common issues behind major incidents. Identify root causes in incidents and outages. Collaboration with various Teams: Work closely with production engineering, infrastructure, architect teams to design workflows
To be successful, you will:
- Agile Expertise: Strong experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams on Agile best practices using tools. Program Management: Ability to perform portfolio optimization, business goal and values alignment, prioritizing and budgeting strategic initiatives along with managing interdependencies between projects, ensuring resource capacity and management.
- Project Management: Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide teams, manage conflicts, and make decisions effectively. Stakeholder Management: Build relationships and manage expectations effectively. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and analyse problems, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions. Technical Knowledge: Should have good understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and technologies, how they interact with each other. Should be versed in APIs, Microservices, internal and external cloud, messaging technologies.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
- HSBC Service Management and Governance Tools: Exposure to tools like EIM, PLADA, UCMDB, SCOTT, ODS, HELIOS, ICE, Service Now etc. Payments Processing: Exposure to payments processing. Incident and Problem Management: Experience in incident management, problem management, and infrastructure management.
- Infrastructure Technologies: Infrastructure tech knowledge e.g. APIs, MQ, DB, VMs, VCS, File transmissions etc.
