1.2 Role Summary
To provide guidance and accountability for the security best practices at Envitia, including both physical security, digital (cyber) security as well as risk assessments and mitigation planning.
1.3 Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Internal Security Consultant
External Security Consultancy
· Have a deep understanding of security frameworks, such as NIST, OWASP, Secure by Design and ISO27001, as they might apply to assigned projects.
Operation Support
· Support and collaborate with the Quality Manager and Head of Operations in maintaining ISO standards and other required certifications, including FSC (ListX).
Envitia Sales Support
· Support the business in pre-sales activities, specifically relating to the security aspects of a tender / project.
Commit to being an active member of the team and to on-going personal and professional development
· Keep up to date with market and technological developments in our client base.
· Attend training and actively seek to continually enhance understanding of Envitia’s products and value proposition.
· Attend marketing events, team meetings, kick off meetings and functions as required.
· Adhere to all Envitia processes and policies and maintain customer confidentiality.
· Know and adhere to Envitia’s mission and values.
1.4 Core Competencies
· Strong understanding of security principles across physical, digital (cyber), and operational environments.
· Experience conducting security assessments, audits, and risk evaluations.
· Ability to provide practical security guidance to technical and non-technical teams.
· Experience designing and implementing security controls and safeguards in line with Envitia and customer requirements.
· Familiarity with monitoring, investigating, and responding to security incidents, including recommending remediation strategies.
· Awareness of security testing methods and tools in support of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
· Working knowledge of key information security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, Secure by Design, and ISO27001.
· Experience supporting the maintenance of security standards and certifications within an organisation.
· Ability to communicate security considerations effectively during pre-sales and customer engagement activities.
· Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and respond to emerging security risks and trends.
1.5 Security Clearance
Employees must hold SC at minimum and in some cases a DV may be requested
1.6 Working Conditions & Travel
Hybrid/Remote working, with the ability to work at customer sites (role dependent) and our offices at Envitia Ltd. North Heath Estate Drive, North Heath Lane, Horsham, RH12 5UX, no more than 1-2 days a week.
