We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in Generative AI technologies to lead the development of advanced AI/ML solutions within the Pharmacy domain. This role focuses on designing scalable AI/ML architectures, building prototypes, and developing reference implementations using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and frameworks like LangGraph and LangChain.

 

You will work with a team of engineers, managing coordination and execution of workloads while mentoring and coaching team members. Collaboration across cross-functional teams-including operations, product, architecture, and quality management-is key, with the ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across enterprise initiatives. You’ll engage directly with Pharmacists to understand operational challenges and partner with Capability leaders to co-design impactful solutions. This role also contributes to Pharmacy Modernization initiatives, aligning with organizational goals to leverage AI for reducing manual work, accelerating delivery, and enhancing Net Promoter Score (NPS).

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop AI/ML solutions using GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI)
  • Build solution architectures, prototypes, and reference implementations
  • Apply deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
  • Lead development of models that generate new data samples, patterns, or content
  • Ensure responsible AI practices, including governance, ethics, and compliance
  • Deploy AI/ML projects in production environments with a focus on scalability and reliability
  • Manage intake, coordination, and execution of engineering workloads
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to build team capability
  • Influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across enterprise initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Product, Architecture, and Quality Management
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to align technical and business goals
  • Contribute to Pharmacy Modernization efforts aligned with enterprise strategy
  • Work Eastern Time Zone hours to support global collaboration
  • Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of industry or academic experience in AI/ML or Data Science
  • 5+ years of experience with Python and version control tools like GitHub
  • 5+ years of experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • 4+ years of experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in AI/ML or related technologies
  • Experience with Git management and CI/CD best practices
  • Experience designing high-level cloud architecture for AI/ML solutions
  • Knowledge of UAIS and MLRB
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
