ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Network Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining the network fabric of the ITD IT system architecture.
- Remaining well versed in a multi-vendor environment for layer 2/3 switching and routing, firewalls, SAN directors, as well as virtual and cloud-hosted networking technologies.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining entire physical networking infrastructure including firewalls and core/distribution/access switches and routers.
- Utilizing network monitoring applications for traffic, access, and performance of entire network.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other IT-related discipline and seven (7) years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s: Associates’ degree and 10 years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (CCNA or equivalent) or ability to obtain one within 180 days.
- Experience in performing maintenance and upgrades of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls and networks.
- Demonstrated ability in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
- Experience in providing innovating methods and technical solutions to ensure network performance.
- Ability to travel domestically.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
