About the Role:

As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to project plans, schedules, and methodologies in the operation and maintenance of multiple system environments. You will respond to system management alerts to handle system/operations exceptions within the assigned enterprise systems of product offerings. This position also involves triage change management support 

Responsibilities:

• Manage image bakery and distribution of images into cloud environments 
• Install program products and system components or assist end users with installation 
• Review job control/scripts developed by less-experienced staff members and assist in modifications for optimal performance 
• Collaborate with development groups, support groups, and vendors to coordinate special operations and communicate/escalate problems as needed 
• Provide daily support for assigned systems/products through early detection and pursuit of changes in system responses or operations 
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills in multiple operating environments to support assignments involving the execution of related tasks 
• Develop lists/scripts for executing commonly used processes and automating simple tasks 

Requirements:

• Understanding of storage systems, Linux kernel, UNIX kernel, UNIX file system, and Windows infrastructure 
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructures (Azure and AWS) 
• Experience troubleshooting image deployment issues in the cloud.
• Program installation and troubleshooting 
• Knowledge of scripts for automation 
• Strong problem-solving skills 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
