Role Overview:  The Lead Mobile Engineer at Job Leap will drive the end-to-end development of the mobile app, ensuring a seamless user experience through scalable architecture and robust engineering practices. This role requires strong technical leadership to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver a high-quality, interactive career coaching and job-matching platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• App Development & Architecture: Lead the development of the Job Leap mobile app from scratch, choosing appropriate architecture and frameworks to ensure scalability and robustness.

• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical guidance to mobile developers and contribute to codebase best practices. Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure high code quality.

• Feature Implementation: Collaborate with Product, UX, and Backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, including interactive career coaching and job matching features.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO (Prasith) and Head of Product (Mark) to align mobile development efforts with business objectives.

• User Experience Focus: Ensure the mobile app delivers an excellent conversational and interactive experience, leveraging best practices for AI-driven chat UX.

• Performance & Quality Assurance: Ensure app performance, optimization, stability, and security. Lead debugging efforts and address any user-reported issues.

• Release Management: Own the mobile release process, including beta testing and continuous deployment to App Store/Google Play.

• Scalability and Maintainability: Develop a scalable codebase to accommodate rapid growth, aiming for a high-quality mobile experience as Job Leap scales.

Qualifications:

​​5+ years of experience in mobile app development, with a focus on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Proficiency in building and maintaining apps using technologies like React Native, Flutter, or native languages such as Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).

• Proven track record of leading development projects from concept to release, with experience in architecting scalable mobile solutions.

• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, with the ability to work closely with designers to create intuitive user experiences.

• Experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integrating third-party services.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for mobile applications.

• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead a team, providing technical direction and setting best practices.

• Familiarity with app performance optimization, analytics tools, and debugging methods to enhance user experience.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with product, design, and backend teams.

• Experience in AI, conversational chatbots, or career-focused applications is a strong plus.
