NRW plays a crucial advisory role in the land use planning process. We are consulted by both planning authorities and developers for our expert advice on likely environmental effects from development proposals.
The Development Planning Advice Service (DPAS) provides a single point of contact for developers and planning authorities. The five teams receive, assess and respond to planning consultations across the broad range of NRW interests. They consult specialists across the business if needed, to ensure that advice they provide is evidenced based, clear, and consistent to help determining bodies and developers make environmentally informed decisions.
