The AMS Practice manages, enhances, and maintains custom applications or packaged software by integrating AI, smart automation and robotics. As a Business Analyst working with Atos, you will be deployed to projects playing a key role in delivering private and public digital services. You will be expected to bring analytical skills, clarity, and focus to delivery across complex or high-priority areas, ensuring alignment to standards and user-centred principles. We are looking for someone who thrives in complex environments, has strong analytical focus, and is confident influencing stakeholders at all levels. As a business analyst, your role will encompass the entire requirements lifecycle, from eliciting and understanding client needs through to the elaboration and creation of functional specifications for the build teams. You will be a self-starter who is able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on analysis. You will work within agile multidisciplinary teams to create, support, and continuously improve products that meet user needs. We seek professionals with demonstrable experience in GDS, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps.

Essential Duties & Responsiblites:
As Business Analyst you will:
- Capture and refine requirements through workshops, interviews, desktop to understand customer wants, needs, and business problems.
- Establish and maintain requirements traceability to ensure all requirements are addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize analysis methodologies, templates, tools, and techniques, adhering to project standards.

- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and manage the backlog.
- Prioritise the needs and experiences of users throughout the solution design process.
- Align solutions with customer requirements, elucidating processes and journey
- Model business processes using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
- Create AS-IS and TO-BE process maps to visualize current and future state processes.
- Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria using the "Given-When-Then" format. Ensuring they are well-defined and meet the needs of the stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering an open and collaborative culture to deliver a product and continuously improve it through several iterations.
- Champion user needs, manage a backlog, document product knowledge, and communicate plans and progress through various channels, stakeholder meetings, and demos.
- Ensure compliance with government service and accessibility standards and promote best practices across teams.
- Work in agile and user-centered design practices to deliver incremental value.
- Play an active role in the Business Analysis community, sharing your learning and celebrating progress made by other people and teams.

Person Specification
Skills we can’t do without:
- Busienss Analysis Experience: 5 years of experience In roles focused on application development.
- Requirements Elicitation: Gathering and defining requirements, documenting functional requirements established structured method (e.g. User Stories)
- Data Analysis: Analyding data to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
- Business Process Modeling: Creating models to represent business processes and workflow.
- Communication: Strong communication skills through documentation, presentation and oral engagement. Exhibit strong and effective meeting presence in the online setting.
- Agile Methodology and User-Centred Design: Proven experience in multi-discipline agile development teams. Strong working knowledge of agile methodologies and user-centred design.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing skills and the building of effective relationships with a broad range of people.
- Public Sector Experience: Experience working with public sector or regulated environments, including familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
- Technology and Policy Understanding: Understanding of technology architecture or policy implications of digital service delivery.
- Digital Transformation Awareness: Awareness of the wider digital transformation agenda across government.
- Soft skills: Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
- Security Clearance: SC Cleared or ability to obtain SC Clearance
- Certifications: BSC Business Analysis syllabus, or equivalent certifications
Skills we’d like:
- Business Analysis experience in sectors like technology, healthcare, consumer goods, automotive, finance, IoT, and telecommunications, where innovation and user-centric solutions are key.
- Technical Proficiency, familiarity with software tools like SQL, Excel, business intelligence tools and API’s
- Have experience in working on a Programme of work which includes multiple SCRUM teams working together on a delivery.
