We are looking for an experienced CI/CD Pipelines Engineer with strong communication and collaboration skills, who has proven experience in designing, documenting and implementing automation and standardisation of CI/CD pipelines using Cloud services and enable the wider teams to make better use of public cloud. This role also includes migration of teams from legacy CI/CD solutions to the newer Cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.

This role will be reporting to our Senior Cloud Platforms Engineer and working with team members ranging from mid-level to highly experienced, Solution Architects and other SME’s to deliver the world-class cloud platform CI/CD solution to the company along with developing and building the strong cloud talent across the organisation. The role is primarily focused on CI/CD, however, there will be opportunity to work with other AWS cloud migration projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Creation of CI/CD as a Product to be used by the Engineering teams.
  • Implement CI/CD tools integration/operations, and full automation of CI and testing workflows, automated quality gates enforcement
  • Develop, scale, and contribute to strategies, standards, guidelines, governance of Continuous Integration systems liaising with stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the builds are continually reviewed against the Pipeline strategy to ensure alignment.
  • Propose and drive meaningful improvements with each release/feature of Pipeline cycle using various automation tools primarily AWS development tools, e.g. AWS CodeBuild, Code Pipeline, CodeArtifact, Jenkins, bash scripting, etc.
  • Ensure all changes to pipelines are done using IaC (Terraform) best practices.
  • Collaborate on the ongoing design, implementation, and preservation of systems and tools across the AWS cloud stack (AWS CodeArtifact/ECR/etc)
  • Liaise with internal Engineering teams and other stakeholders to help ensure end-to-end quality.
  • Implementing functionalities that enhance developer and QA user experience while optimising on the AWS cost and resource usage using technologies like python and AWS services.
  • Write and maintain infrastructure and process documentation.
  • Migrate users from existing CI/CD to Cloud CI/CD pipelines.
  • Uses standard procedures, including Change Management to carry out defined changes.
  • Work as part of a team to implement improvements to the pipeline and build steps.
  • Identify lean waste within the build process and improve with automation.

Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, operating, securing and monitoring CI/CD pipelines and related tools
  • Strong skillset and experience establishing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CI/CD pipeline services e.g. AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeDeploy, etc
  • Solid understanding of AWS networking and system administration.
  • Experience in delivering metrics and results from CI/CD pipelines and related tools to relevant stakeholders needs
  • Experience in working with automated Code quality scan tools like SonarQube, etc
  • Experience working with Microservices and Container technologies e.g. Docker containers, AWS ECS and Fargate (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps
  • Other technologies include (but not limited to):
