Nuclear Medicine Tech – Full Time

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced nuclear med tech for a permanent role with an area hospital in London, OH where you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine registration or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board registration required.
• Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
• Experience performing routine and emergent nuclear medicine procedures, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Experience with imaging equipment operation, radiation safety standards, and equipment quality control.
• Previous experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
• Multi-modality experience preferred (MRI, CT, Radiology).

Primary Functions

• Performs routine and emergent nuclear medicine procedures by correctly using imaging equipment, related accessories and radiopharmaceutical agents. Upholds radiation safety standards and department protocol.
• Receives, handles, stores, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to protocol.
• Prepares patient and exam room for imaging procedure. Assists patient with appropriate dress.
• Maintains manual and computerized patient, department and hospital records. Performs associated data entry and clerical tasks as needed.
• Performs and documents equipment quality control according to department protocol. Performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Treats patients and families with dignity and respect.

Schedule

• Day shift. Monday through Friday with some schedule flexibility.
