We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Performance and Reward Consultant. 

Purpose of the role   

The Performance and Reward Consultant will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSBC’s benefits and reward programmes. The role holder plays a pivotal part in shaping new-age benefits, reviewing and updating existing policies, and ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and impactful. The role holder will cover dual accountability of P&R relationship management and leading functional work-streams. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Be a strategic reward partner extending strategic support in ideation, design, and launch of innovative benefits and reward initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs and market trends. 

  • Conduct regular reviews and benchmarking of existing benefit and reward policies, making recommendations for enhancements or new offerings. 

  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses and business cases for proposed changes, ensuring programmes are effective and sustainable. 

  • Act as a strategic partner to HR Business Partners and business leaders, providing expert advice on benefits and reward matters, Build and maintain strong relationships across a complex, matrixed organisation, ensuring alignment and buy-in for key initiatives. 

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and market data providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and value for money. 

  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance reviews to support benefit and reward programme objectives. 

  • Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments impacting benefits and reward programmes. 

  • Support the creation and implementation of new benefit policies, including digital health, flexible benefits, and wellbeing anchors 

To be successful you will: 

  • Strong understanding of reward and benefit legislation, statutory requirements, and market trends. 

  • Experience in benefit and reward programme design, policy review, and vendor management. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills in a matrixed environment. 

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities. 

  • High regard for confidentiality and discretion. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. 

  • Strong consulting, customer service, and organisational skills with the ability to navigate through complex matrix organisations.
