In this exciting position, you will ensure scalability while supporting multiple business use cases, ultimately delivering significant value to our organisation. If you are passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and thrive in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.

AXA Commercial has a transformational opportunity to revolutionise its business and operations through the strategic use of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities, supported by a robust and scalable architecture and infrastructure. We’re excited by the opportunity to harness the power of data to unlock value across all areas of our business, enabling faster, more efficient and better-informed decision making through automation, augmentation and advanced analytics.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build, maintain and optimise scalable data pipelines to handle various data types from multiple sources.
  • Work on data engineering tasks to meet business demands, refining technical features as required.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding best practices.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and processing across the team.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to prepare data for advanced analytics, machine learning and reporting.
  • Automate data processes and workflows to reduce manual interventions and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the data pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
