We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambition.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused and commercially minded individual to join our Mid-Market Enterprise Commercial Banking team in the role of Relationship Support Analyst.

HSBC Corporate Banking in the UK provides both domestic and international commercial banking services to our existing and prospective clients. Clients will typically have turnover of up to £350m.

You’ll support Relationship Directors and Managers with the provision of financial services solutions for Corporate Banking customers with sophisticated domestic and cross-border banking requirements, in a variety of industry sectors across the globe.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you'll:

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, to provide ongoing day-to-day support
  • Provide support to the Relationship Directors to enable them to meet customer needs
  • Prepare financial proposals and presentations as well as undertake analysis for both existing and prospective customers
  • Perform detailed customer research, financial, and credit analysis
  • Support on day-to-day activities including client planning, pipeline management, and coordination with product partners
  • Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adhere to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risks

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience working in Commercial Banking would be advantageous
  • A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
  • Experience of planning and prioritising your time effectively and adhering to strict deadlines is essential
  • The ability to understand and interpret financial data is essential
  • The ability to use Microsoft packages is essential

The base location for this role is flexible between Reading and Whiteley.   A hybrid working arrangement is available with an expectation of part of the working week being from the office or visiting clients.  This role requires occasional travel to visit clients across the south-east of the UK, so it is important that you can travel easily around this region as required.
