Assurance Lead

We’re looking for an Assurance Lead with a continuous improvement mindset to join our team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that solution delivery complies with business and technical policies, and for ensuring that our third-party service providers meet and exceed expectations.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:

• Engaging with policy owners across the business (Security, Data, Quality, Cloud, Communications) ensuring alignment to policies and standards
• Looking at implications of policies to Solution Delivery and relevant third parties
• Working with Solution Managers and Principal Engineers to identify and implement the necessary controls
• Recording, managing, and reporting on compliance risks
• Identifying gaps, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Preparing and supporting audit activities, including responding to queries
• Partnering with procurement to establish and maintain performance and productivity measures
• Establishing, maintaining and prioritising the improvements backlog, working with suppliers and key stakeholders
• Leading on the response and resolution of third-party service provider performance escalations

What you'll bring: 

• Strong technical hands-on experience as a quality or software engineer
• Experience in the application of modern engineering principles, specifically in the content of quality e.g. Quality Engineering, Test Driven Development, Built In Quality etc
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and underlying technologies, tools and processes e.g. Test-driven development, DevSecOps, Playright, Selenium, Leapwork, .NET and React
• Proven ability to manage and oversee third party resources
• Good understanding of assurance processes and frameworks
• Knowledge of technical policy definition and implementation
• Working experience in a highly regulated organisation
