Regulatory Business Analyst

Join Barclays as a Regulatory Business Analyst and play a key role in delivering regulatory change initiatives, from impact assessment through to implementation. Partnering with Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Front Office teams, you’ll translate complex regulations into practical business solutions, track milestones, and maintain robust governance and risk controls. Your work will ensure the bank meets evolving regulatory requirements while driving continuous process improvements.

To be successful as you should have:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements and propose solutions.
• Solid understanding of wealth management and investment banking operations.
• Technical skills in system design, data mining, and advanced Excel (experience with Oracle & SQL Server is a plus).
• Knowledge of FCA regulations, ideally within Transaction Reporting.
• Experience coordinating across multiple squads and technical teams.
• Skilled in preparing clear governance materials and engaging stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Background in regulatory or financial reporting.
• Understanding of MiFID II, EMIR, and SFTR.
• Proven data flow tracing and data integrity validation.
• UAT and regression testing experience for transaction reporting systems.
• Familiarity with control objectives such as reference data integrity, reconciliation, and external disclosures.
