DevOps Engineer

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Handling day‑to‑day support activities for Data Platforms, including incident resolution, operational troubleshooting, and platform maintenance.
• Working closely with other engineers to understand platform components, support workflows, and operational standards.
• Assisting in the automation of recurring support tasks using scripting, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure-as-code templates (with guidance from senior engineers).
• Learning and applying GCP best practices related to monitoring, deployments, configuration, and resource management.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by documenting common issues, improving playbooks, and streamlining support processes.
• Participating in knowledge‑sharing and team ceremonies while gradually expanding into DevOps‑specific work.
• Optional: Joining on‑call rotations after training and approval.

Technical Skills (Expected at L4 Level)

• Basic experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS acceptable).
• Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Some exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Understanding of core networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, routing).
• Experience in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).

Nice to Have

• Experience providing operational support or working in a support-oriented team.
• Interest in automation, monitoring, and DevOps methodologies.
• Prior exposure to data engineering or platform engineering environments.
