Role Summary
Triad is seeking an experienced Business Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and aligning
enterprise-wide business architecture across our client engagements. You will define and
maintain domain models, support enterprise design initiatives, and provide architectural
leadership to ensure strategic alignment, simplification, and measurable business outcomes.
This role requires active SC Clearance.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams, you will act as
the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring business architecture underpins
transformation, drives clarity, and enables sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities
Domain Model Development and Alignment
• Define, support, and maintain a comprehensive business domain model.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategic goals and enable cross-functional
integration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine domain models in response to
evolving business needs.
Enterprise Design Leadership
• Support the development and adoption of enterprise architecture frameworks to meet
business objectives and transformation initiatives.
• Design and implement standardised processes to ensure consistency across business
units and systems.
• Facilitate the integration of enterprise design principles into operational and IT
strategies.
Simplification Programme Support
• Provide architectural oversight to ensure simplification and optimisation initiatives align
with the domain model and enterprise design.
• Drive process improvement initiatives with a focus on measurable outcomes and longterm sustainability.
Guidance and Capacity Building
• Offer expert guidance to business and IT teams on architecture best practices,
standards, and methodologies.
• Mentor and develop members of the business architecture capability to build long-term
expertise.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation through workshops, training sessions,
and knowledge-sharing activities.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Engage with senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to ensure alignment
between business needs and architectural solutions.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical
stakeholders.
• Act as a strategic bridge between business and technical teams to ensure seamless
delivery of architectural initiatives.
Skills and Experience
Experience
• Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or
closely related roles.
• Proven track record of contributing to or leading large-scale transformation and
simplification programmes.
• Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within the
UK public sector.
Technical Proficiencies
• Deep understanding of domain modelling and enterprise architecture practices.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and
Zachman.
• Experience in business process management (BPM) and process optimisation initiatives
with measurable results.
• Ability to translate strategy into structured architectural artefacts and roadmaps.
Leadership and Communication
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to mentor and guide crossfunctional teams.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical
and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to challenge constructively and drive alignment at senior levels.
Collaboration
• Comfortable working both within enterprise design teams and independently across
domains.
• Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications & Certifications
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Architecture, Information Systems, or a
related field – Desirable.
• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification – Desirable.
This position requires an active SC Clearance (Security Check). Candidates must already
hold SC Clearance.
