We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing our clients in legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and advising clients on legal transactions. You will be expected to manage all phases of litigation from the investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes. Responsibilities
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
2. Conduct research to involve in case preparation and to understand the legal issues in the cases.
3. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
4. Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
5. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
6. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
7. Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
8. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
9. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
10. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice in the state and in good standing.
3. Proven 5+ years of experience as a civil litigation attorney.
4. Strong experience in conducting legal research and drafting pleadings.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a particular ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, concise language.
6. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and arrive at mutually beneficial solutions.
7. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive, professional, and confidential work environment.
10. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete and file documents, as well as specific legal research platforms.
