The AVP, Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud security solutions to protect the organization's cloud infrastructure and data. This role involves developing security strategies, ensuring compliance with security standards, and mitigating security risks.

The AVP will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical expertise, and ensure the successful deployment and management of cloud security measures.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure cloud security solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with business and technical requirements.

Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks associated with cloud infrastructure and applications.

Cloud Security Design and Implementation:

Develop and implement cloud security architectures and solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and business units, to ensure alignment and Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on cloud security-related matters.

Incident Response and Management:

Lead and coordinate response efforts to mitigate the impact of security incidents.

Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud security.
Continuously evaluate and enhance cloud security solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Adopt and promote engineering excellence through consistent application of industry standards

Monitor the performance of cloud security measures and controls.

Develop and implement incident response plans for cloud security incidents.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred but not required

Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud security. Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, architectures, and best practices.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, encryption, IAM).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

AWS Certified Security – Specialty
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. Experience with incident response and management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The salary range for this position is 95,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on

individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
