As a Vice President, Card Data Owner Lead within the Consumer and Community Banking Data and Analytics team, you will be accountable for all data in the Card product that is created, provisioned, or consumed to support business objectives, analytics, operations, and reporting. You will serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure data quality, protection, and value. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional experiences for our customers.
You will partner closely with Product Owners, Technology, Analytics, and Risk teams to deliver data in line with business needs and compliance standards. Job responsibilities

  • Create plans for the development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, analytics, and reporting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data content and usage within the Card product and associated business areas.
  • Identify and document the scope of critical data, ensuring clarity, purpose, and proper classification with metadata.
  • Support analytics initiatives by identifying data required for integration into analytics platforms.
  • Document and coordinate requirements for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Influence and resolve data issues promptly to maintain high data quality.
  • Develop and implement processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks, including protection, retention, storage, and use.
  • Ensure compliance with Firmwide policies, standards, and procedures related to data integrity and protection.
  • Build strong relationships with data delivery partners and consumers across Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, and Risk.
  • Track and manage workstreams and KPIs to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives.
  • Manage direct or matrixed staff to execute data-related tasks and achieve milestones.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 6+ years of industry experience in a data-related field.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines.
  • Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes
  • Technical knowledge of data management, data engineering, data pipelines, data modeling, data architecture, and governance.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google, or Azure, and/or experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Alteryx, or Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage delivery timelines and ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Proven ability to execute through internal partnerships.
  • Structured thinker with strong business acumen and effective communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences.
  • Understanding of Agile technological development methodology.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master’s degree preferred. Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Credit Card domain knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale data transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data management.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization. Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
