As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office team, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a key technical contributor, you are tasked with implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in providing technical support and solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve software issues.
- Optimize and maintain AWS infrastructure, including S3 buckets, Kafka, Redshift, glue, and DynamoDB
- Utilize Databricks for data processing and analytics tasks.
- Develop and maintain software applications using Java and Python.
- Design and implement APIs to enhance system integration and functionality.
- Create and maintain user interface (UI) pages to improve user experience.
- Ensure database integrity and performance through effective management and optimization.
- Implement best practices for software development and support processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands on experience in software engineering with code development using JAVA, Springboot, Angular and REACT JS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Jules, or Spinnaker.
- Strong expertise in AWS services, including S3 buckets, , Kafka, Redshift, glue, and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in Databricks for data analytics and processing.
- Strong database management skills and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in working with APIs and creating UI pages.
