Salary: £44,765 plus shift allowance. Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, mix of day and nights.

Responsibilities

• Enabling Heathrow’s passengers to experience the best airport service in the world, through maintaining a broad range of our TTS and pod assets.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on assets.
• Investigating faulty or poor-performing assets, identifying improvements and implementing meaningful change to improve the airport experience.
• Keeping records up to date, for example, the maintenance history of our assets, to create efficiency and meet Heathrow’s regulatory requirements.
• Showcasing your passion for ‘doing the right thing’, by proactively spotting hazards, reducing risks, and creating a safer environment for all.
• Champion continuous improvement and best practice.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline. Please note a degree would not be equivalent to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3.
• Full UK driving licence including the ability to obtain and maintain airside licences and permits.
• Strong hands-on experience, gained within an engineering environment.
• Analytical thinking and sound problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise in a complex and fast-paced setting.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Rail rolling stock experience
• Vehicle transport experience
