Senior UX Designer (Design-Focused with Research Capability)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior UX Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in design and can confidently support user research activities. You will play a key role in shaping intuitive, user-centered experiences across multiple squads and high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of user interfaces, wireframes, and prototypes for web and mobile applications
- Support and conduct user research activities including discovery interviews, usability testing, and A/B testing
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to iterate on solutions
- Ensure consistency and quality across user journeys and interaction designs
- Contribute to the development and adoption of design systems
- Work across multiple squads including online auction, marketplace, and payments & checkout
- Help validate designs with internal stakeholders and customers
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in UX design, with demonstrable expertise in both design and user research.
- Proven experience in UX design with a strong portfolio of design work
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Strong understanding of interaction design and service design principles
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience designing for mobile-first and responsive web applications
Desirable Skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for effective developer handoff
- Experience with Stripe or other payment platforms
- Familiarity with design systems
Success Metrics
- Validated designs delivered for online auction and marketplace within 6 months
- Improved customer effort scores and qualitative feedback
- Contribution to increased percentage of vehicles sold digitally (target: 80% by 2028)
- Enhanced consistency and usability across product interfaces
