What you’ll be working on
You will lead the development and execution of the content design strategy for our rich portfolio of customer insights and media product. A hands-on product experience practitioner, you will establish and promote a strong understanding of our users’ needs, motivations and behaviors ensuring that content is designed to maximize value for our users and our business.
Working in an agile, global team, you will work closely with colleagues in product, design, engineering, and data science to develop and execute the content strategy including planning, managing and optimizing content creation across the user experience. Your communication and collaboration excellence will be essential to avoid siloed thinking and efforts.
A strategic thinker, you will apply design attention to the small details and the big outcomes, setting service KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to help teams understand their impact on business outcomes such as customer satisfaction, financial performance, and growth.
Key accountabilities
· Lead and mentor a team of content designers and UX writers.
· Develop and implement user-centred content strategies aligned with overall business goals.
· Define and embed content standards for products and design systems supporting brand, accessibility, and legal compliance.
· Plan and facilitate cross-discipline workshops to develop and improve user outcomes.
· Adopt continuous discovery and research practices ensuring products solve for real user needs.
· Own translation process including managing the vendor relationship and cost management.
· Optimise content for search engines and adhere to accessibility standards to reach a wider audience and enhance usability.
· Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of content and its impact on user engagement and business goals.
· Manage and optimise content resource and workflow, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
· Ensure quality, consistency, and coherence of content across products and channels.
· Work with key stakeholders to understand their needs and shape content to meet them.
· Provide mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to team members.
· Foster a creative and innovative environment for content creation.
· Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate fresh ideas into content strategies
· Champion content across the organisation, educating and evangelising best practices.
· Evaluate and implement tools and technologies that enhance the content design process
What we expect from you
· Ideally a degree in a User Experience or Content related subject or 7+ years professional experience.
· Proven experience building and leading content design teams.
· Strong understanding and application of user-centred design practices and principles
· Experience applying usability and accessibility best practices across content.
· Expertise developing information architecture, taxonomies and tagging strategies.
· Expertise running content audits and inventories.
· Expertise selecting and using Content management systems (CMS) and other relevant tools.
· Expertise leveraging A/B testing methodologies to optimize content effectiveness.
· Expertise in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and metadata standards.
· Competency leading design thinking practices.
· Competency running qualitative and quantitative user research.
· Familiarity working with iterative, agile delivery methodologies.
· Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and technologies.
· Experience managing vendors and defining statements of work.
