We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who expects more from their career. It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Data Science Platform. We’re a full-stack platform team working with a wide variety of tools and technologies. We handle the whole lifecycle of our teams’ solutions, from inception and development to their deployment and maintenance via Infrastructure as Code.

 

Joining our engineering team, you’ll work with passionate people to build, extend, and maintain the platform that underpins all our client engagements; from early data assessment and ETL to data analysis and visualisation.

 

Our work is varied, giving you the flexibility to move between products and technologies, so natural curiosity is essential. As a team we're friendly, will help you get up to speed, and offer you plenty of opportunities to innovate.

 

What we expect from you

 

Expected skills:

·       Proficient in programming languages like Go, Python (Django) or Typescript

·       Containerisation & Orchestration (Eg Docker/Kubernetes)

·       Experienced working with cloud technologies (We use GCP & Azure)

·       Solid understanding of high-quality coding, testing, and development practices

 

Preferable skills:

·       Infrastructure as code (Eg Terraform/Cloudformation/Pulumi)

·       Monitoring & Observability
