Platforms Principal Tech Lead - Reading

As a Principal Tech Lead in Digital Network Platforms, you will act as the foremost technical authority and subject matter expert (SME) in transforming our OSS landscape. This role is pivotal in defining the technical direction, ensuring architectural alignment and development of strategies for our platforms in accordance with industry best practice and the evolving requirements of our Digital developer community.

Key responsibilities include leading a team of highly skilled engineers, fostering innovation, and driving excellence in platform development. The role involves creating robust and scalable platforms, developing tools and systems for workflow optimisation, and cultivating a high-performance culture that promotes innovation and collaboration.

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Proven experience in software development and system architecture in the Telco OSS domain.
• Strong understanding of telecom industry standards, protocols, and technologies.
• Strong background in all aspects of DevOps, including hands-on experience and best practices.
• Working experience and knowledge of public, private and hybrid cloud providers, technologies and services and also a working understanding of data and application frameworks on cloud.
• Knowledge of product journey management and its alignment to platform development and design.
• Experience with platforms across the OSS landscape across including: Cisco NSO, Itential, Rakuten, Digitata, Netcool and Hyperscaler solutions (GCP etc)
