Job Description:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Director is a collaborator, a well-organized, action-oriented individual with exceptional leadership and time management skills, confident in presenting, facilitating, and building a network of strong relationships across our organization. The individual will be responsible for leading a team of professional’s working on quality assurance reviews and financial analysis to ensure reporting accuracy of various regulatory reports submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and Office of Comptroller of Currencies (OCC). The individual will support, train, and provide people leadership to successfully deliver QA responsibilities and will work in close coordination with Regulatory Reporting, Finance Data Governance, Service Management, Technologies, and various other teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Leading multiple Quality Assurance reviews which include:
● Guiding team to provide testing strategy, ensuring consistent approach is utilized across report testing. Identify risk areas that will require additional testing. Ensure timelines of reviews are met
● Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance governed frameworks e.g., Regulatory Reporting Governance policy, Self-Identified Re-filing Assessment Framework, Regulatory Report Risk Assessment and Cross Report Reconciliation Framework as assigned and prepare key metrics
● Work closely and coordinate with various regulatory reporting, technology, data governance, service management, teams to ensure the quality assurance over the regulatory reporting processes.
● Independently handle Projects and drive solution across multiple stake holders, support AXP wide projects, initiatives, reviews, and audits e.g., Federal Reserve Exam, Internal Audit Group review and others.
● Support regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with the reporting guidelines issued by the FRB and OCC.
● Managing and responding to requests from regulators on an as-needed basis.
● Leading a team of professionals with a focus on continuing to develop governance and QA review skillsets for the future.
● Display thought leadership, drive process, and support work/life balance initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
● 10+ years of work experience in Banking/Financial Services.
● Knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting.
● Knowledge of regulatory audit or process review is a plus.
● Proven people leadership experience and ability to attract, engage, and retain high caliber global talent.
● Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills with a proven track of positively collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners.
● Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms.
● Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively manage in a matrix organization.
● Ability to think strategically.
● A self-starter with a passion to consistently deliver high quality service and exceed stakeholders’ expectations.
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting. CPA is a plus.
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
