Job Title Domain Head of Engineering Compliance , MIS and Finance Domain
Objective The Head of Engineering is responsible for managing technology deliverables for their domain for the entire SDLC. They play a key part in formulating the application roadmaps and convergence for their domain with a view to build a future proof technology stack. They oversee the financial plan for their domain and the talent strategy.
Accountable to CTO
Key stakeholders Technology: Application Architects, InfoSec, Platform, CQA, Agile, Technology Delivery, other domain tech leads Products, Market success and Operations Edenred Global Technology 3rd parties
Responsible for Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance within the specific engineering domain, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals. Work with CTO to create IT strategic plans and deployment strategies by defining the practical enterprise architecture, strategy and technology roadmap. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within the domain, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, market success, architecture, infosec, agile delivery to align on software development initiatives. Architecture and Design: Contribute to the architectural design and technical decisions for projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Best Practices Implementation: Establish and promote best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing methodologies, and documentation. Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development. Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation within the team, ensuring that projects are adequately staffed and that team members are effectively utilized. Innovation and Research: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new tools and practices within the domain. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to projects and team dynamics, developing strategies to mitigate them. Reporting and Metrics: Report and manage domain-specific metrics for software delivery
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to suggest and implement process enhancements.
