Senior Data Engineer (Tibco & Python)

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Lead the installation, configuration, and migration of Tibco components in complex,
enterprise-grade environments.
• Design and build scalable ETL and data integration solutions using Tibco and Python.
• Collaborate closely with data architects, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to align technical
solutions with business goals.
• Implement robust data pipelines across cloud and hybrid environments, using Azure Data
Factory, Azure Databricks, and GCP services (where applicable).
• Optimise Spark-based transformations and legacy data migrations to support real-time and
batch data needs.
• Define and automate data quality frameworks, error handling, and validation workflows.
• Champion best practices in infrastructure-as-code, data observability, and performance
tuning.
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within CGI’s
Advanced Analytics and Data Engineering practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Essential: Proven hands-on experience with Tibco tools and platforms, including
installation, configuration, and data migration across enterprise systems.
• Strong Python development skills, particularly in data engineering and scripting contexts.
• Extensive experience in ETL development, pipeline automation, and processing large-
scale datasets.
• Proficiency with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and/or Google Cloud
services like BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and DataProc.
• Proven track record in managing structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet,
Avro, CSV).
• Solid knowledge of Spark-based transformations using Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks, data validation techniques, and maintaining data
integrity.
• Experience integrating Tibco solutions into broader data architecture and CI/CD
ecosystems.
• Nice to have: Experience with Terraform, cloud-based DevOps pipelines, and infrastructure
automation.
