Portfolio Manager

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as an Portfolio Manager In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

ITPfM is an IT management process incorporated to ensure compliance with FITARA, and that EM IT resources are used effectively and efficiently.  The process aligns IT plans with EM’s strategic vision and mission requirements to ensure managers have accurate and meaningful information for IT decision-making.  This includes critical information on a proposed IT investment’s overall value to the organization, the return on the investment, the measures of performance, and the utilization of risk management plans.

The ITPfM Program requires support services to ensure compliance with FITARA, Information Technology Management, the ITPfM process, and effective management in the areas of:

1.     Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), a systematic approach to managing the risk and returns of IT investments for a given mission, utilizing the OMB-mandated Technology Business Management (TBM) Framework, and

2.     Enterprise Architecture (EA), a business-driven plan that describes the current state, future vision, and transitional states of an operation. This is presented in terms of strategy and performance; business; applications and services; technology; data; and security.  EA integrates strategic, business, and technology planning for the life-cycle management of information, information resources, and related IT investments in compliance with FITARA and OMB guidance.
