JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Technology, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teamâs work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot.
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Thinks beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions.
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the teamâs work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience
- Experience managing technologists
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working at code level
