Join us as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) at Barclays, where you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding our Agile Release Trains (ART) and driving the successful delivery of large-scale programs. You’ll bring Lean Agile experience, coaching capabilities, and remarkable facilitation skills to foster collaboration, remove impediments, and ensure smooth execution across teams. You’ll help shape the direction of our delivery organization by championing continuous improvement, orchestrating critical ART events, and supporting our teams in delivering high quality outcomes
To be successful as a Release Train Engineer, you should have experience with:
SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and system thinking along with evaluating agility metrics to increase delivery efficiency
Supporting ART events (PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, ART Sync) and creating collaborative environments
Working in an Agile environment as a Delivery Manager/RTE
Project management skills and experience
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Technical background that helps the RTE understand the tasks in the development teams face
Understanding of lean budgeting
Additional certifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe DevOps Practitioner, or professional coaching certifications
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, NJ.
Minimum Salary: $155,000
Maximum Salary: $225,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose
Facilitates and coordinates Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure that multiple teams within a program are aligned and delivering value efficiently. To manage dependencies, remove impediments, and oversee the planning and execution of Program Increments. Foster collaboration across teams, ensures alignment with business objectives, and drives continuous improvement in large-scale Agile environments.
