As a Senior Manager of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms Team within the Senior SD-WAN Service Delivery, you lead end-to-end delivery of an SD-WAN ecosystem with centralized management, monitoring, and analytics, translating business drivers into practical technical designs. You work with multi-functional teams to design, build, deploy, and transition solutions into operations with strong runbooks and knowledge transfer. You anticipate delivery challenges, define mitigation strategies to reduce risk, and ensure successful outcomes for customers, clients, and business partners. you provide overall direction for team members and work on established and moderately complex issues within your specialization. Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters to determine appropriate actions to bring these issues to a resolution.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and business partners to define the current state and future direction of the network technology landscape.
- Lead technical design solutions, including architecture overviews and use cases, and support detailed design for deployment frameworks, integration, and testing.
- Drive integration of SD-WAN solutions into complex enterprise infrastructures and deliver orchestration, management, and virtualization aligned to program and platform standards.
- Produce technical discovery outputs and solution designs (including whiteboarding), contributing to proposals and RFP responses as needed.
- Develop configuration artifacts and test plans, conduct functional testing, resolve defects, and document error/risk assessments and remediation actions.
- Lead operational readiness by creating runbooks, serving as a Tier 3/Tier 4 escalation engineer, and supporting production deployments through coordinated implementation.
- Execute end-to-end delivery activities including network assessment, pre-checks and planning (readiness checks, risk mitigation, HLD/LLD), migration execution (implementation plans/MOPs, CAB adherence, audits, pilots, UAT), post-validation, handover to operations (transition, runbooks, knowledge transfer), and limited post-migration troubleshooting support (for example, the first 2 days after migration).
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Hands-on experience translating business drivers into practical technical designs and analyzing complex network design requirements.
- Demonstrated experience producing architecture overviews, detailed designs (HLD/LLD), and technical discovery outputs (including whiteboarding).
- Proven experience developing configuration artifacts, test plans, and executing functional testing, defect resolution, and remediation documentation.
- Experience leading operational readiness, including runbook creation, knowledge transfer, and Tier 3/Tier 4 escalation support.
- Experience driving migration execution activities, including readiness checks, risk mitigation, implementation plans/MOPs, CAB adherence, audits, pilot migrations, and UAT coordination.
- Ability to coordinate across internal and external teams to deliver deployments within budget, schedule, and resource constraints.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience working with cloud and centralized management, monitoring, and analytics capabilities for SD-WAN ecosystems.
- Experience producing proposal content and supporting RFP responses for network delivery engagements.
- Experience delivering technical training and ongoing, ad-hoc enablement to engineers and partners.
- Experience leading complex, cross-team implementations involving internal and external stakeholders during production deployments.
