Commissary Manager

Job Description

As a Commissary Manager, you will direct the daily retail/commissary operations for an assigned correctional facility/site after participating in an ACS specific training program.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain systems and procedures for planning, directing, and coordinating commissary activities
• Oversee delivery of products to customers within the assigned account
• Coordinate unit forecasting and the unit accounting process
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards are consistently met
• Execute assigned promotions for the location
• Supervise personnel across production, merchandising, quality, and cost control
• Manage labor scheduling, staffing, and employee training
• Conduct inventory and records management audits in compliance with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards
• May supervise inmate labor

Qualifications

• Bachelor?s degree and/or 3?5 years of retail industry experience
• Ability to manage and communicate effectively in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer service
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and make decisions based on available information
• Retail experience preferred (convenience store, big box, grocery, or similar environments) with a focus on sales, fulfillment, and merchandising
• P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing
• May require uniforms and/or use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
