We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Markets Treasury Business Manager (Transformation)

Combining business management responsibilities with transformation expertise, you’ll drive front office desk-specific projects end-to-end, including project management, business analysis, and test management, while also supporting the delivery and execution of larger global initiatives.

Markets Treasury sits at our heart and acts as the street-facing arm of the treasury function with responsibility for setting the risk limits and strategy in respect of HSBC’s balance sheet. Markets Treasury’s priorities are to manage cash, liquidity and funding for 45+ sites, managing overall high quality liquid assets, short-term funding requirements and interest rates positions of the banking book.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead and deliver desk-specific transformation projects, ensuring objectives and timelines are met
  • Support large-scale global transformation programmes, including requirements gathering, process mapping, test management, and solution design
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the business strategy, including market analysis, benchmarking, and business case preparation
  • Provide business management support to front office teams, including maintaining business continuity plans, desk procedures, and processing operational requests, such as invoices and trading book opening
  • Identify and drive opportunities to leverage AI and digital tools to improve processes, insight, and value delivery
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, sharing best practice and encouraging experimentation in a supportive environment

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, management consulting, or business management, within financial services or a front office environment 
  • Sound working knowledge of transformation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of contributing to business planning and transformation strategy
  • Demonstrated ability in AI, digital tools, and innovative ways of working
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team, collaborating across time zones
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience preparing materials for senior audiences
