Job Introduction

HSBC Asset Management (India) is looking for analysts with experience in India Financial services, Oil & Gas, Telecom and Chemicals & Fertilizers sectors to join their equity research team. The analyst will be required to cover some other sectors as well depending on team requirements 

Principal Responsibilities

• Research Analyst is expected to have a strong understanding of the sectors and drivers of all stocks he/she is tracking to make assessments and give views periodically to the investment team.
• He/She will interact with company management, sell side analysts, and participants in the value chain to formulate views and to research his sectors and stocks effectively.
• The research analyst is expected to have detailed models for all the companies he/she is tracking and will update these models periodically.
• He / She will also monitor the ESG practices of the companies in their coverage and liaise with the management to help achieve funds regulatory and stewardship objectives.
• Research analyst will proactively facilitate regular interaction with company managements for the fund management team.
• He / She will collaborate with peers in the global and domestic investment teams, responsible investing teams and contribute to organizational goals and fund objectives. 
• Participate in client liaison and prepare marketing related activity when required. Assist in preparing periodic stakeholder communication
• In addition to specific fund/sector responsibilities, the incumbent is expected to make a significant contribution to overall team strategy.

Role Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:

• CA/ MBA from reputed institutes with 6-8 years of experience in fundamental equity analysis of Indian corporates
• Candidate needs to be hard working, self-driven, with strong communication and inter-personal skills.
