JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Tech Risk & Controls Associate- Change Management at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity Technology and Controls, you will play a leadership role in ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our intake services upholding the company's strength and resilience. The candidate will act as the bridge between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring technical changes are not only technically sound but also effectively adopted by end users. You will apply project management discipline to change activities to ensure they are delivered on time and within scope. Your contributions will be instrumental in fostering the firm's growth responsibly, as you anticipate new and emerging risks and apply your expert judgement to tackle real-world challenges impacting our company, customers, and communities. 

 Job Responsibilities

  • Drive global change and transformation initiatives, focusing on innovation and operational excellence
  • Develop and execute structured change management strategies for high-impact technical initiatives
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles for technical changes, including milestone setting, budget tracking,  resource allocation and benefit realization outcome assessments. Conduct thorough technical impact analyses and risk assessments to prevent service downtime.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory meetings to review, prioritize, and approve technical change requests. Create training and communication plans to guide non-technical staff through system transitions. Define and track efficiency gains or losses to measure change success rates.
  • Oversee implementation of technical changes for payment projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy and client needs. Apply structured problem-solving and design thinking to address strategic priorities.
  • Perform detailed operations impact analysis for new business initiatives, including capacity, operating model, regulatory obligations, and control processes. Define and document operational requirements during solution design, ensuring readiness for new product launches or market expansion.
  • Lead operational readiness activities for successful implementation, including production data configuration, product verification, and client migration planning. Develop trusted relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, business partners, and technology teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, tracking milestones, critical paths, and deliverables. Coordinate working group and steering group meetings: set agendas, prepare materials (PowerPoint/Tableau), document minutes, and ensure clear ownership of action items.
  • Provide regular status updates and business presentations to senior management and LOB executives. Maintain scorecards and project tracking tools for effective communication and reporting. Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Ensure sufficient internal controls and procedures to minimize risk, supporting audits, regulatory reviews, and inspections. Drive the risks and controls agenda in partnership with local operations managers. Champion the People First Agenda, supporting wellness, development, training, and recognition initiatives.
  •  Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Formal training or certification on security concepts and 2+ years of experience in change management, project management, or operations.
  • Good business acumen and understanding of Cybersecurity, Technology & Controls   
  • Technologically savvy, with experience in digital transformation and change/transition projects.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and presentation software (PowerPoint, Tableau). 
  • Collaborative, energetic, and results-oriented team leader

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and control processes in financial services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written, verbal, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Execution skills; hands-on experience with Agentic AI/AI/ML transformation
