Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) Administrator within the Information, Advice and Guidance team in the School of Engineering.


The post is a 12-month fixed-term contract, and this full-time role involves 35 hours per week.


Under the direction of the Student Service, Support and Development Officer, the post-holder will be required to respond to queries both face to face and electronically, working on the Student Support Hub, planning Welcome Week timetabling and events, summer internship administration, Student Experience and Society budget financial administration, event organisation, newsletters and bulletins, social media, Graduation receptions and prizes, Student Voice Committee administration, Academic Advisor data entry, Virtual Hub maintenance.


We are seeking to appoint an individual who can demonstrate their ability to supervise staff and ensure all tasks are undertaken efficiently. There is a requirement to be highly self-motivated with the capacity to work flexibly, both alone and as part of a team. You will also be required to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues and services across the University, including academic colleagues, and external stakeholders.


There is a requirement to have a proactive approach to managing your workload in this role, proven customer service skills and the ability to supervise and coordinate work activities. You will also need to possess the ability to clearly communicate information, advice and guidance and contribute to decision making, problem solving and resolving issues.

This role offers a hybrid working option. However, please note that as a student-facing position, you will be required to work on campus for a minimum of 3 days per week, with the possibility of additional on-site days as dictated by business needs, flexibility is essential.
