Software Trainer

Description

This role focuses on delivering high‑quality training through classroom instruction, virtual sessions, and hands‑on demonstrations tailored to a wide range of user skill levels. Trainers ensure customers gain the practical knowledge needed to apply Xactware tools confidently in real‑world scenarios. 

As a frontline representative of the organization, the Software Trainer I is the face of the company to the customer and plays an important role in not only training but gathering customer feedback and identifying areas for improved training or product clarity. The position requires strong communication skills, adaptability across multiple learning environments, and the ability to travel extensively to conduct multi‑day training seminars across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

1. Facilitate 1-5 day seminars throughout the US and Canada to train customers in the use of Xactware’s software products
2. Conduct online training seminars using webinar applications
3. Assist customers in becoming more knowledgeable about Xactware products in an effort to promote overall customer satisfaction  
4. Manage personal travel arrangements and expenses
5. Available to travel 14-17 days per month with possible weekend travel
6. Assist in the development of training exercises and course curriculum
7. Report product issues and customer feedback to product development teams 
8. Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned
9. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

1. Passion for training is a must!

2. Loves being in front of people, can think quickly on their feet, and enjoys solving problems.

3. Strong customer service skills and can work with our largest customers

4. Ability to learn quickly, is punctual, follows through on commitments

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Experience teaching in a variety of different learning environments

7. Extensive knowledge of Xactware products. Will train the right person who does not have experience with our products.

8. Proficient with MS Windows and Web-based application

9. Available to travel 14-17 days per month with possible weekend travel 

10. Knowledge of commercial and residential construction procedures. 

11. Knowledge of the property loss insurance industry is beneficial

12. Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent professional experience

Working Conditions:

1. Moderate/Intermediate amount of travel.

2. General office working conditions and environment

3. Classroom moderation with extended periods of time standing

4. Periodically extended hours are required to achieve targets and deadlines
